Am I the only one who's missing THOI?  :'(

(haha, it's so sad to see the warning above: "this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days". It says I should consider starting a new topic. Well. No. Since probably no-one will read this anyway  :P)

And if it'll not be a ragnarok, I hope for Rickon to get some interesting storyline. I don't know, it's just the way that he's hardly ever mentioned and pretty much always gave me the creeps when he was (in the books, at least), that makes me feel he'll be king in the end.

Furthermore, I was wondering if people had interesting theories about the series and how it will end :)

Secretly I'm hoping the book will end with some kind of Ragnarok. You know: with giants and hero's and mythical beasts fighting eachother. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if the series would end with the end of the world and I think it would be pretty awesome  ;D

Art / Re: Book Covers

Somehow the cover reminds me of Christmas  :D It's a nice cover, but I think it's the title of the book that makes me interested... hm... (I like wintertales, that's why xD)

Fun thing is: the more I look at it, the creepier it seems to get :P

So today, I did something I never consciously did before: I bought a book solely judged by its cover (and the fact that it was placed on the English fantasy/S.F. shelf, which means the book's genre should be right for me).

The book's called Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick and its cover looks like this:

Don't ask me what the books about, because I don't know yet (except that it's supposed to be about two people who love each other and keep encountering each other in different lifetimes in different ages and there's something with bloody sacrifices somewhere...) But the cover's pretty, right? It's actually better in real life.

So, yesterday we (= Lone Wanderer, my mother and I) watched the last three episodes of the first season of Game of Thrones. Having read the book I can say the series follow the book very well, at least in the first season. (Though, they showed a little part of the second book in the first season already, but nothing mayor or something)
The only real changes they made are some scenes containing sex. They left some that are in the book out, and put others in. Dunno, it's so useless *shrugs*

Also, Lone Wanderer and I went to the Game of Thrones Exhibition yesterday. The props and costumes looked fantastic, but unfortunately we were only allowed to walk around in the church for 15 minutes, because otherwise the line outside would get too long. We wanted to get in line for a second time, but it started to rain, we had no umbrella with us and we would have to stand in line for 2 hours, so we decided to do some other things instead (Book shops! :E)
I really hope the exhibition will return to the Netherlands one day with a better organisation and such, because I love these kind of exhibitions.

And now I want a Stark-coat. And a sword.  ;D

Edit: btw, what do you think of the casting? I really like how Jon and Robb look so much like each other, as do Arya and Bran.  ;D

Edit2: The 2nd season follows the book less well, and not always for the better I'm afraid. Some things feel a bit rushed, even some important things. I think they should have left out some less important things (especially the less important things that weren't even in the books in the first place

Spoiler (hover to show)
).

The Pursuit of Happyness (yes, Happyness with a y, watch the movie and you'll find out why). It was a nice watch. It's the story of a grown man, a dad, going through all kinds of troubles to keep himself and his young son off the streets.

Imaginaerum by Nightwish. It was good, better than I expected. Not a recommendation for most people, but most Nightwish fans will love it.  ;D

Puss in Boots, which was a little bit of a disappointment. It's a nice movie and all, but not as funny as I had expected.

Welcome to The Heart of Imagination!

You certainly have written a lot about yourself... now there aren't many question left to ask xD As for book recommendations: I really recommend to start reading The Lord of the Rings rightaway - don't let them gather dust, haha. I love those books (although they can be a bit dull at some points.) Also, you should try out Terry Pratchett's books. Not everybody likes his kind of humor, but if you ask me; they're amazing :)

Anyway, have a nice time here at the forum!
